Melanie's counselling approach draws on the Positive Psychology philosophy and she uses techniques such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Neuro Linguistic Programming. Melanie is passionate about working with people to reveal untapped potential and bring out their strengths.

Melanie also runs a women's group coaching program at The Good Life called LifeOgraphy. Group Coaching is emerging as a highly effective form of coaching and is a fantastic way for individuals to fast track the achievement of their goals in a supportive and inspiring group setting. The aim of group coaching is to maximise the energy, experience and perspectives of the group dynamics to achieve personal and group goals. Our group coaching approach includes small group discussions, activities, setting personal goals and action planning. Melanie works in partnership with the group to direct the pace and the themes discussed. Each group is typically comprised of 6-8 women and is highly experiential and interactive in nature. Our holistic approach ensures that participants can address any aspect of their lives they would like to improve.

Jarred has been counselling individuals and couples for several years and has experience working with both adults and adolescents. He has also recently completed advanced clinical training and assessment as part of his doctorate in clinical psychology at Deakin University.
Often people come to counselling because they have become so stuck that they cannot move forward but at the same time, also want to overcome the obstacles that hold them back. Jarred believes that with the right set of tools, people can live the lives they truly want and free themselves from past negative thoughts and dynamics thereby improving the present. He teaches clients from all walks of life, a variety of psychological strategies to assist them in radically improving their lives and achieving their goals.
Jarred uses an evidence-based approach and draws on a combination of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mentalisation Based Therapy and Coaching.
